This 8 mm (5/16 inch) fine cut rasp is made by a highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from tool steel and then hardened to RC 45. The blades are stitched with a CNC machine which produces a uniform tooth pattern and height allowing for a steady removal rate and an even finish. This is considered a fine cut rasp with 22 teeth per square centimeter. The handle is 5 3/4 inch long, 1 1/2 inches in diameter and has a brass ferrule. Handle is made hard and dense Hornbeam. Blade is 8 mm (5/16 inch) in diameter and 200 mm (8") long. Overall length is 345 mm (14 inches). This is a well-made rasp for a very reasonable price.
