• DESIGNED FOR WOODHAVEN DOOR HINGE JIGS: The standard bit for use with Woodhaven 8530–8560 door hinge jigs; bearing rides the jig edge for a clean, accurately sized mortise every time.
• CARBIDE-TIPPED FOR LONG LIFE: Carbide tip maintains a sharp cutting edge through extended use on hardwood, softwood, and MDF door frames and jambs.
• 1/4" CUT LENGTH STANDARD: 1/4" cut length is correct for standard door hinge installation on doors and frames without an attached stop. See 8505 if your frame has a 1/2" thick stop in place.
• LEAVES 1/4" RADIUS CORNERS: The 1/2" diameter bit leaves 1/4" radius corners in the mortise, use the Woodhaven 8508 Corner Chisel to square them up if required.
• PAIRS WITH WOODHAVEN 8508 CORNER CHISEL: The 1/2" bit leaves 1/4" radius corners in the mortise. Use the Woodhaven 8508 Corner Chisel to square them up quickly. 1/4" shank, 5/8" bearing, 2-1/4" overall length.
