• Complete Cut, Strip And Crimp Kit:Includes one IWS-0840S manual lug crimper, three interchangeable die sets, one radial cable stripper and one hard carrying case. The stripper handles round flexible cable up to 4/0 AWG, while the built-in cutter is intended for soft stranded cable.
• Nine Sizes From 8 AWG To 4/0:Covers 8, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0 AWG. One die provides 8/1/0/2/0 cavities, one provides 6/4/2/1 cavities, and one provides 3/0/4/0 cavities.
• Hex Crimps With Size Marks:Polished dies form a six-sided crimp and emboss the selected AWG size on the lug for easier inspection. Match the cable, lug barrel and die cavity before crimping; same-gauge lugs may vary in wall thickness and outside diameter.
• Adjustable Crimping Pressure:Long handles provide extra leverage for large cable lugs. The pressure is factory-set for normal use, while two adjustment knobs allow fine-tuning from 1–4 when needed—higher numbers provide tighter crimping. If a test crimp is consistently loose, increase only one knob by one setting at a time and test again. Do not increase both knobs at once. Use both hands and a stable surface when crimping larger 3/0 and 4/0 lugs.
