- CLAMP ONCE, ROUT BOTH MORTISES: Unlike the SOSS 100IT router guide template which requires removing and repositioning the template between the shallow and deep mortise cuts, the Woodhaven 8660 stays clamped in a single position for both routing steps. Built-in retractable depth stops automatically control the depth of each pass.
- SAME ACCESSORIES AS THE SOSS OEM TEMPLATE: Both the Woodhaven 8660 and the SOSS 100IT require a guide bushing and a long upcut bit — no additional investment if you already own these tools. Requires Woodhaven 5030K (5/8" OD) bushing and Woodhaven 15406 (3/8" spiral upcut), both sold separately. Any 5/8" OD OD bushing with nose no longer than 3/8" works.
- EXACT SOSS 100 MORTISE DIMENSIONS: Cuts the precise 3/8" wide x 1" long shallow mortise and matching deep mortise required by the SOSS 100 invisible hinge — dimensions verified against SOSS manufacturer specifications, not approximated.
- BUILT-IN SOSS SETBACK, CNC MACHINED FROM 1/2" PHENOLIC: Hinge setback is machined directly into the jig to SOSS 100 specifications. The 1/2" solid phenolic body stays flat and rigid across production runs — no flex or deflection that could compromise mortise accuracy.

Our SOSS Hinge Jigs are the fastest, easiest and most accurate way to rout the two-step mortises required for these unique hinges. Made of 1/2" phenolic for heavy duty use, they measure 5-5/8" x 7-3/4" for maximum router support. Includes an 8" Double Track for mounting the jig and clamping to your work. Clamps not included.
Optional 4512 Flip Stop mounts on an optional 4016 16" Double Track (minimun length recommended) for quicker part indexing. Allows setting the stop up to 6" from the hinge mortise, with a spacer required for short distances. We recommend two Flip Stops, one for each side of the jig. Optional longer Double Tracks (up to 96" - 4096) available to mount multiple SOSS Hinge Jigs and Flip Stops.
Optional 6507 Self-Centering Drill centers itself in the SOSS 100 hinge screw mounting hole for a perfectly centered pilot hole.
