- Curved Blade for Rounded Cuts - The concave, double-edged blade gouges and carves rounded shapes, ideal for detailed jin and shari work and for smoothing branch knobs.
- Jin and Shari Carving - Create natural-looking deadwood on bonsai; also useful for wood carving, engraving and grafting. Hold it like a pencil for fine work, or grip it nearer the blade for stronger cuts.
- Shirogami Steel - Made from Shirogami (white paper) tool steel, a pure Japanese carbon steel prized for a keen, easily resharpened edge. Wipe dry and oil lightly after use to prevent rust.
- Made in Niigata, Japan - Forged by local artisans in Niigata, a region known for centuries for the skill of its blacksmiths and tool makers.
- Size and Specs - 187 x 12 x 6 mm (7.4 x 0.5 x 0.2 in), 64 g (2.3 oz), Shirogami alloy tool steel. The blade is very sharp; handle with care and store it safely.
