WaterHog mats are backed with SBR rubber which contains 20% post-consumer recycled rubber from car tires. The rubber will not crack or curl, ensuring your mat will lie flat and remain in place. The Diamond pattern featured on this mat is the standard, WaterHog Diamond design with a rubber border (sometimes referred to as a "classic" border).

At M+A Matting, we are dedicated to being good stewards of the environment. As such, we are currently in the process of transitioning all of our mats made with 24-ounce polypropylene to 24-ounce PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Our PET fabric provides all the same great benefits as polypropylene – durable, fade and stain resistant, dries quickly. Our PET is made from post-consumer recycled plastic drink bottles. When you purchase a product made with recycled PET, you are helping keep dozens of plastic bottles out of our oceans and landfills! We began the transition from polypropylene to PET in 2018, one color at a time. By early 2019, most of our most popular colors were made with PET. All colors will be made with PET by the end of 2019, and we will update the product listings at that time. Until then, even though many listings still say polypropylene the mat you receive will more than likely be made with PET.
