Viltrox EF-NEX IV Electronic Adapter Viltrox EF-NEX IV is the fourth generation electronic adapter produced by Viltrox for Canon EF or EF-S lenses to be used on Sony A9, A7, A6XXX and NEX series cameras. Two main features are added on EF-NEX IV:
- Integrated USB port for adapter firmware update
- Manual switch to change between CDAF and PDAF mode

# To change AF mode, adapter should be detached from camera, switch to desired AF mode on EF-NEX IV, then attach adapter again for camera to recognize new AF mode as a new lens.


Remarks:
Many people will ask why switch between CDAF and PDAF? When lens use with CDAF mode with good contrast, you can get focus point across the frame. However, for older lens model, focus speed will be slow or not even focus. PDAF is the fastest way to focus for both AF-S and AF-C. The focus area is limited depends on camera model.

There may be partial lenses and cameras that cannot use this adapter, we will update the firmware in time , also appreciate please tell me your camera and lens model if they are not compatible ,our engineers will update that firmware ASAP .
