The standard female MOST adapter others sell WILL NOT FIT the connector in most vehicles without user modification (carefully trimming the surrounding plastic off). I start with an authentic, female, fiber optic MOST adapter, then PRE-TRIM the surround of the female connector so you can plug it in for testing/diagnostics/repair right away without the fear of damaging it by attempting to modify it to fit on your own. This adapter is used to fix the SOS error in most BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche. I also include a few zip ties so you can secure it as seen in the YouTube video below. A video explanation of how the adapter others sell would need to be modified can be seen in this YouTube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7E4lTPgChg I've decided to do the trimming for you to save you some time and frustration! Also, beware of knockoff, imitation adapters, as they often use inferior fiber optics and and can cause intermittent connectivity issues in the optical network of your vehicle (cheap version often use unpolished ends on the fiber cable leading to bad signal strength). I have used this exact connector to fix several SOS issues and have had excellent results. If you have any questions, just ask! We are here to help!
