Touched By My Teddy

“You can’t freak out, Katie,” he said. “You can’t, Katie.” I was speechless. My eyes grew wide enough for my eyeballs to fall out of my skull.
“Promise me you won’t scream,” Roger said. “You have to promise.” My childhood teddy bear was now six feet tall, built like a human, and asking me to promise not to scream. Despite the sheer insanity of the situation, I had no desire to go into hysterics. If anything, once the initial shock passed, I felt surprisingly comfortable. I nodded, telling Roger I wouldn’t scream. He lifted his hand.
“Holy shit, Roger!” I said.
“Hey Katie,” he said. “It’s good to finally talk to you.” I sprang to my feet.
“This is crazy!” I shouted, and then immediately cover my mouth. “My mom! My mom can’t see you! Unless she knows. Does she know?” Roger laughed.
“No, she doesn’t know,” Roger said. “And she’s not here right now. She’s out for her morning walk. That’s why I woke you, so we could be alone.”
“Roger, this is amazing.” I said.
“Yeah, I guess it is,” he said. “Hey, I wanted to say I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for what?” I didn’t understand.
“For everything that’s been happening to you. The stuff with Brad, the stuff with Tony-“
“How do you know about Tony?” I asked.
“I know, Katie,” he said. “I know a lot about you and what you go through. And I’m here for you.” That brought tears to my eyes and I fell into Roger’s arms, which were soft and comfortable. What was between his legs, however, was anything but soft.
