Water-Based Antifouling Paint: JD Select is a low-VOC bottom paint that repels barnacles, slime, algae, and weeds from powerboat and sailboat hulls below the waterline. Delivers single-season protection on fiberglass, wood, and steel in salt, fresh, and brackish water.
Ablative Bottom Paint: Keeps your boat protected all season as the coating gradually wears away as your boat moves through the water to expose fresh copper biocide while reducing paint build-up for easier prep next season. Burnish smooth for added speed and fuel efficiency.
Easy Application & Cleanup: Water-based bottom paint that applies smoothly with low odor and no solvents - ideal for marinas and boat yards with VOC restrictions. Cleans up with soap and water. No maximum dry time to launch, so you can prep and paint early.
Easy to Apply for DIY & Professional Painters: Use a foam or 3/16" nap roller, chip or foam brush, or airless/conventional sprayer. Thin up to 10% with water as needed. Apply 1–2 thin coats; dries in as little as 2 hours.
Compatible with Most Existing Bottom Paints: Apply over previously painted hulls or prime bare surfaces first with TotalProtect Epoxy Barrier Coat. Available in Black, Blue, Green, and Red in Quarts and Gallons. Covers up to 500 sq. ft. per gallon. Not for use on aluminum.

TotalBoat JD Select is a single-season, water-based ablative antifouling bottom paint that's easy to apply, low in VOCs, environmentally friendly, and cleans up easily with soap and water. This paint may be applied by brush, roller, or spray equipment over existing paints that are in good condition. Spraying is not ideal, but if spraying, thin JD Select with water up to a maximum of 5%, and use a wide nozzle tip. Burnish JD Select for a smoother, more fuel-efficient finish.

Choose from six popular colors (Black, Blue, Green, Red, Shark White, and Teal) in quart and gallon sizes. With the right prep work and sufficient layers of paint, your boat's hull will still look amazing when it's pulled out of the water at season's end. This 1-part marine finish has excellent coverage so you get the most out of your paint. This product is intended for antifouling use on boats, below the waterline only.
