Copper-Free Antifouling Paint: This bottom paint pairs an organic biocide with zinc to repel growth on aluminum hulls and pontoons. AlumiPaint AF provides superior full-season protection against barnacles, slime, algae, and weeds.
Ablative Bottom Paint for Pontoons & Aluminum Boats: Paint gradually wears away as your boat moves through the water, continuously exposing fresh biocide while reducing paint build-up. Copper-free formula ideal for underwater metals, outdrives, and running gear.
Flexible Launch Timing: No maximum dry time lets you prep and paint ahead of the season and launch when you're ready. Ideal for boats that are hauled and relaunched during the season, as the biocide remains active without losing its effectiveness.
Easy to Apply for DIY & Professional Painters: Use a foam or 3/16" nap roller, chip brush, or airless/conventional sprayer. Thin up to 10% with Brushing Thinner 100 or Spray Thinner 101. Apply 1–2 thin coats; dries in as little as 1 hour.
Compatible with Most Existing Paints: Apply over previously applied bottom paints, or prime bare surfaces with Aluminum Boat Barrier Coat. Available in Black and Blue in Quarts and Gallons at 500 sq. ft. coverage per gallon.

TotalBoat AlumiPaint AF is a copper-free antifouling that combines Econea with a zinc biocide for powerful, multi-season protection on pontoons and aluminum hulls. This unique co-polymer ablative wears away over time, continuously exposing fresh paint for maximum protection against barnacles, mussels and slime.

Specifically formulated for use on pontoon boats, it provides superior coverage, durability and performance. Apply 1 to 2 coats per season over previously painted surfaces in good condition, or over properly primed bare aluminum. It is also suitable for use on outdrives and running gear to minimize the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Proper preparation and priming of bare aluminum is critical for paint performance and to prevent corrosion. Unprotected aluminum corrodes rapidly in salt or brackish waters. Even freshwater salinity can pose problems. We recommend using TotalProtect epoxy primer as a barrier coat.
