The Song of Crazy Horse

The seller (eblackfoot) is J.D. Blackfoot's wife and this CD comes direct from J.D. Blackfoot and will be autographed. This CD is an October 2007 re-release of the classic album that won the New Zealand album of the year award for 1974. J.D. bought back the rights to this album in 1988 and the original album was issued on CD in 1994 on the Tokala Record Co. label, and re-issued on the Sisapa Record Co. label (sisapa 5945-2) in 1999. Those versions had a different cover design and did not have the live version of The Song of Crazy Horse added as this CD does. Here, The Song of Crazy Horse is re-issued with cover artwork that more closely resembles the original U.S. album cover art and has the 25 minute live version of "The Song Of Crazy Horse", taken from "Live In St. Louis-July 16th, 1982", added as a bonus track. The title track, "The Song Of Crazy Horse" is still revered as one of the all time classic stories ever put to music and is a tribute to the life of the famous Ogalala Sioux Chief.
