The Luck Of The Irish

Cork, Ireland has always been a hotbed of musical talent. The Clancey Brothers, The Rovers, and the Chieftains may not have been from there, but the town has a special place in their respective hears. Maybe it's the water, maybe it's the sea, but the Cork Players have played music practically since they could walk. Growing up on the same block in a downtrodden section of the city, their parents encouraged them to form a band just to keep them off the streets. Practicing every night, they were dliigent in becoming the best they could be. Performing since they were nine or ten years old, this album is a dream come true for them, performing traditional Irish songs that everyone knows and loves. But you couldnt tell it is their first album from the performance they give here. Just take a listen and judge for yourself.....
