The History of Panzerregiment "Grossdeutschland"

More than 250 period photographs, many never published before, coupled with a first-hand history of the regiment, written by one of its former officers. This volume traces the history of the tank formations with "GroŸdeutschland," starting with the battalion and culminating with the regiment. Panzerregiment "GroŸdeutschland" had the largest tank regiment in the German Army. In 1944 it had three battalions, one of which was equipped with the Tiger -- the only German Army regimental formation so equipped. Excellent accounts of the fighting, especially at "Zitadelle" and Targul Frumos. Some superb late war photos, including Panthers and Tigers as well as interesting assault gun and rocket artillery images.
