The Curse of the Kings

"Whoever disturbs the sleep of the kings will die!" For centuries this curse has haunted the tombs of the pharaohs. Thus when two eminent archaeologists mysteriously croak, Judith Osmond is certain the curse killed them, Yet -- or so she thinks -- it has nothing to do with her.

Then, overnight, everything in her life changes. First, an unexpected inheritance. Then Tybalt, a young archaeologist, asks her to marry him. But Tybalt plans to explore the tombs during their honeymoon. So the curse of the kings comes to haunt Judith.

"Victoria Holt has a wonderful way with suspense, with atmosphere, and with a haunted heroine." (Newsday)
