Table And Matrix Deductive Reasoning Problems

I have never seen a kid, no matter what their mathematical level, who did not enjoy solving deductive reasoning problems once they knew how to solve them. This revised section of reasoning problems from Part 1: Logic I is a sure fire way to get the math class off to a good start. Some of them are very easy. Others may require some time to find their solutions. But all of them will challenge kids.

There are two types of problems included here. One type is the table-type variety. One must understand the importance of knowing the right from the left regarding the position of the person at the table. Also, it does not matter where one places the first person at the table; but after the first person has been placed, it is essential that all clues are then followed. A clockwise rotation, in order, is then used to measure the correct solutions. The second type of problem, and one that is probably more used than the table-type, is the matrix type, which allows for check mark and x to build to the final solution.

I have arranged both types of reasoning problems from easy to hard, although every 6th grader should be able to solve all of the problems.
