Stonemaier Games: Tokaido Expansions: Crossroads & Matsuri by Antoine Bauza

• Add to Tokaido: Add two expansions to your Tokaido (Base Game). This product does not play on its own and must be added to Tokaido. It can be added to the Stonemaier version or older versions.
• Matsuri Expansion: Matsuri (the Japanese word for festivals), triggered by the arrival of the Travelers at intermediate Inns, enliven the path with unique events. A number of new Travelers are now also available for the trip.
• Crossroads Expansion: Tokaido is ready to unveil a few more treasures for the most faithful travelers in Crossroads: cherry trees in full bloom, luxurious bathhouses, good luck charms, calligraphy, legendary objects, and even clandestine gambling rooms are now part of the journey!
• Travel the Famed Tokaido Road: Welcome to the Tokaido, the legendary East Sea Road connecting Kyoto to Edo, in Japan. In Tokaido, each player is a traveler crossing the "East Sea Road", one of the most magnificent roads of Japan. Here you will begin an extraordinary journey during which you will discover a thousand marvels.
• Solo Play: Features an Automa to play against in a 1-player game for a fun solitaire experience. The Automa simulates an opponent for you to compete against, while your game as a player remains the same. On the Automa’s turn, flip a card to see what action it takes.
• Set Collection: While traveling, you will meet people, taste fine meals, collect beautiful items, discover great panoramas and visit temples and wild places, but at the end of the day, when everyone has arrived at the end of the road you'll have to be the most initiated traveler – which means that you'll have to be the one who discovered the most interesting and varied things.
• Beautifully Designed and Illustrated: Integrates seamlessly and beautifully with high replayability created by Antoine Bauza (7 Wonders, Takenoko). Gorgeous illustrations by Naïade (Seasons).
• Thematically Designed Mechanisms: Traveling along the busy Tokaido road, you will need to stop at Inns along the way and get some food, you may need to take a break from your travels to work on a farm for some extra money, and you’ll want to collect souvenirs for friends and family back home. All of these elements are richly apparent in the design for Tokaido.
• Excellent Gift: Great gift for those who own Tokaido and would like more content for it- families, teenagers, students, couples, and anyone who loves Japan, cozy games, and serene illustrations.
