- Economical & Highly Accurate: Ideal for measuring ultraviolet light sources that emit high levels of broadband UVA+B, like curing lamps and sunlight; Instantly and accurately quantifies the intensity of UV radiation with a +-5% accuracy; Properly monitors UVA+B Light; Measures 280 nm to 400 nm, with a range from 0-199. 9 mW/cm²
- Versatile: One of the main uses of our 5.0 Radiometer is for testing eyewear UV blocking capabilities, but it can also be used for UV lamp aging tests and window film transmission measurements; Great choice for tanning salon owners, tanning beds manufacturers, curing lamps companies, and more!
- Practical & Durable: This handheld radiometer offers effortless portability thanks to its compact design; Made of resistant plastic and includes a battery that lasts approximately 2 years on a typical service load
- Easy-to-Use: Compact, handheld, and durable, our Solarmeter Blue Light Tester features simple single-button operation and an easy-to-read LCD Display; Powered by one 9-volt DC Battery (included), this UVC light meter boasts NIST Traceable accuracy
- About Us: Solarmeter by Solar Light Company Inc. is the industry standard for UV and visible light radiometers that measure both indoor and outdoor light sources; Our NIST Traceable meters are used to monitor lamp irradiance and aging for UV sterilization, reptile husbandry, indoor tanning, red/blue light phototherapy, UV curing, and UV Index
Solarmeters are compact, handheld radiometers with simple pushbutton operation and NIST-traceable accuracy. They're proudly made in the USA. The Solarmeter Model 5.0 Standard Total UV Meter measures the UVA+B region from 280-400nm. Applications include monitoring UV lamp intensity and aging, monitoring PUVA therapy lamp intensity and aging, measuring outdoor UV, testing acrylic shield transmission, eyewear UV block comparison, and testing window film / tint transmission. To operate your Solarmeter, aim the sensor window located on the top panel of the meter directly at a UV source. Press and hold the push-button switch on the face of the meter and read the results in mW/cm² on the LCD screen. For best results take note of the distance the reading was taken from the UV source in order to ensure repeatable results. A 9V battery is included, along with a rugged carrying case and Calibration Certificate.
