STI borrowed from nature's master builder the spider to create a patented web of protection from vandalism and accidental damage with this UL Listed wire guard. Highly recommended for areas where smoke detectors may be vandalized or accidentally damaged. Extremely difficult to break. Constructed of heavy 9-gauge coated steel wire with corrosion resistant polyester coating. Fast and easy installation. May be painted prior to installation to match detector. Easily removed to service smoke detector. For greater protection against vandalism tamper resistant screws and installation bit are also available (Screws: STI model SUB-82; Installation Bit: STI model 19038) both sold separately. 3 year guarantee against breakage of normal use.
