Safety Technology International, Inc. - STI 34100 Solar Powered Wireless Driveway Monitor. You can always be assured that the driveway monitor kit will notify you when a vehicle enters or exits your driveway. This small rugged waterproof sensor is easy to install and includes a yard stake. Plug the receiver into any standard electrical wall outlet next to your driveway. When sensor detects a vehicle, it signals the receiver to alert you by chiming and flashing. Effective range of up to 1,000 feet (line of sight) away from the sensor. The driveway sensor uses a patented magnetometer sensor system. Movement of any large metallic (iron or steel) object with a magnetic field causes the sensor to transmit to the receiver. Sensor offers sensitivity options of low, medium, and high. Sensor is solar powered (includes two rechargeable batteries). NOTE: Maximum optimal range for vehicle detection is 12 feet; multiple sensors (purchase the STI model 34101 separately to increase range) may be required for driveways exceeding this width / range.
