- Ruland oldham couplings have a zero-backlash balanced design for reduced vibration at speeds up to 4,500 RPM. They can accommodate high amounts of parallel misalignment (up to 10% of the hub OD).
- Acts as a mechanical fuse stopping power transmission during a torque overload. User can combine clamp or set screw hub with inch, metric, keyed, or keyless bore for a high level of customization.
- Made from acetal for higher torque and torsional stiffness capabilities than nylon.
- Proprietary hub machining process for smooth interaction between the hub and disk allowing for significantly longer life.
- Ruland oldham coupling disks are RoHS3 and REACH compliant
Carefully made by Ruland in Marlborough, MA, Oldham couplings are comprised of two hubs pressed fit with either an acetal or nylon disk. Oldham couplings disengage if the disc breaks, acting as a mechanical fuse. Well-suited for handling large amounts of parallel misalignment. Acetal Oldham coupling inserts are zero-backlash and electrically isolating. Maximum is 4,500 RPM. RoHS and Reach compliant. Also called a Oldham coupling insert, disk, or disc.
