This Alexander Hamilton bobblehead is part of Royal Bobbles' collection of historic figures. Alexander Hamilton was born in Charlestown, Nevis on January 11, 1757, and was orphaned as a child. After being taken in by a merchant, Hamilton was sent to New York to pursue his education. He soon joined the militia in the American Revolutionary War and became a senior aide to General George Washington in 1777 and helped run the new Continental Army. After the war, he joined the Congress of the Confederation as a representative of New York but eventually resigned to found the Bank of New York and practice law. He did all in his power to promote the US Constitution and the idea of a strong central government. In this pursuit, Hamilton wrote the Federalist Papers, which helped to interpret the Constitution. Hamilton eventually ran the Treasury Department as a member of Washington's Cabinet. He was a central figure in the Federalist government until he lost the election of 1800 to Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton eventually lost his life to Aaron Burr in a dual and died on July 12, 1804. This bobblehead shows Alexander Hamilton in period attire holding a rolled document in one hand and a cane in the other. All Royal Bobbles bobbleheads are about 8" tall and are made from highest quality, heavyweight polyresin. Each bobblehead is hand painted, making each one unique. Each Royal Bobbles product comes with its own unique serial number on the bottom of the base to indicate authenticity.
