Pluto AN248 Metal Wind Mill Candle Holder Rain Deer Silver

When the included tea light candle is lit in the base of the rotary candle holder, the heat of the candle will make the Reindeer and the carousel spin, and shaped reflections move around the ceiling. Comes nicely presented in a box ideal as a gift. Remarkably sophisticated with just a touch of whimsy, this snowflake candle holder is a wonderful way to bring smiles with a unique display of entertainment in motion! Each of our stunning rotary candle holders is crafted from durable metal with a beautiful silver finish. Just position the flickering tea light candle (included), and within moments the heat from the flame will set the art in motion. You can add your own scented tea light and indulge in your favorite aroma.

These Änglaspel are designed in and imported from Sweden. They are contemporary versions of the traditional candle chimes. Because these were designed to actually rotate and cast beautiful shadows, the metal is thin, and the item light-weight. Some of the competing rotary candleholders you will see have less detail (especially in shadow), and 4 clappers rather than 6. When you see the Pluto Produkter AB as the manufacturer and PlutoGifts as the merchant, you can be confident of high quality and wonderful attention to detail. For those of us who grew up with them, rotary candleholders are a seasonal blend of light and motion. They belong to a purely domestic and old-fashioned type of joy, one that emphasizes a dark room over a brightly lit one (to appreciate the dancing interplay of light and shadow); and calm over activity (so that stray air currents shouldn't disrupt the workings). Darkness, stillness, silence: all inescapable aspects of the northern winter, and it is therefore not surprising that candleholders should be such an enduring tradition.
