BLEND yeast with dry ingredients. ADD very warm liquids (120- 130°F) - OR - DISSOLVE yeast and 1⁄2 tsp sugar in 1⁄4 cup warm liquids (110- 115°F). Avoid liquids that are too hot to touch. One packet of Red Star Organic Yeast will raise up to 4 cups (about 1 pound) of flour. Like any baker's yeast, Red Star Organic Yeast is a living organism and must be handled properly to ensure optimum performance. Never expose yeast to high temperatures during storage or use.
