• COMMON SIZING MISTAKE - 1/2 NPT is not 1/2 inch. The threads on this socket measure about 7/8 inch across the outside. If the fitting on your machine measures roughly 1/2 inch across, that is a 1/4 NPT and this will not thread onto it.
• 1/2 INCH FEMALE NPT, RATED TO 5,000 PSI - Stainless steel quick connect socket for high pressure joints. Corrosion resistant where plated steel pits and seizes. For industrial non-drinking water applications.
• SEAL IT RIGHT - NPT is a tapered thread and needs sealant to hold. Use 4 to 5 wraps of Teflon tape wound clockwise, or 2 to 3 drops of thread sealant. If you are threading onto a BSP fitting, use 6 to 7 wraps and expect the threads to bind sooner.
• The inner Buna O-ring is a standard part and swaps out in seconds, so a worn seal means a new O-ring instead of a new coupler. The oring is warrantied a whole year.
• FAST DISCONNECTS THAT HOLD - Use at any joint where high pressure lines come apart: hose connections, spray guns, lances, tips, foam cannons. Always insert the plug fully and pull the collar all the way forward. A tight fit is a good seal.
