Designed for most styles of combat martial arts like MMA, UFC, Karate, Wrestling, etc. though people buy them for general grappling
Or even just kneeling on the ground to do plumbing
Machine washable - though the running them through the dryer a lot will kind of cook them after a while
Maybe that "air drying" thing would be a good idea for this?

This pair of black Piranha Gear knee pads is made of thick foam padding (roughly 3/4"). The outside is made of a durable elasticized fabric blend and it's crafted in one single piece around the outside. We've found the multi-part construction for knee pads just doesn't hold up for fighting/mat work (it's cheaper that way, but you end up replacing them quicker). Since most people don't keep their legs STRAIGHT during their whole workout (we don't), we thought it was kind of dumb to have knee pads that were FLAT. These are made of foam that's molded to a slight curve to better fit your knees when they are BENDING - we use them too and wanted something that wasn't going to KILL our knees after being bent for 20 minutes. It's a non-slip fit and holds shape and size through repeated use and washings. No special care is required - though we don't recommend machine drying since that kind of beats up any sort of padding. For sizing we usually recommend that you match your t-shirt size. Unless your body type is one extreme or the other, that's what we have them made to fit.
