Paintings of The Prado

The shortlist of great museums of Western art must include the Prado Museum in Madrid. For sheer quality, its painting collections rival those of the Louvre in Paris, the Uffizi in Florence, and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
When placed side by side, the works in Paintings of the Prado amount to a glorious, full-color survey of European art from the early fifteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth.
