Overruled (Marjorie's Story Book 2)

This edition includes group discussion questions, a biography of the author and an introduction to Isabella Alden’s books by Christian author Jenny Berlin.

In this sequel to Making Fate, Marjorie’s story continues. Having spent the summer away from home, Marjorie Edmonds returns to town with a new outlook and a stronger Christian faith than when she left.

While she’s been away nursing her broken heart, her friends have been busy in her absence. Hannah Bramlett has made it her personal mission to help young Jack Taylor resist temptation, even at the risk of becoming the source of some horrid gossip. And Glyde Douglass has continued her ministry to the poor, with the help of handsome Paul Burwell.

Before long, Leonard Maxwell returns as well, claiming his old room in the Edmonds home and, hopefully, claiming a place in Marjorie’s heart. But when Leonard’s brother, Frank arrives in need of a comfortable place to recuperate after an illness, he unwittingly shakes up his brother, the Edmonds household and the town . . . as well as Marjorie’s interest. Could it be that Marjorie’s heart has healed at last?
