Oneing: The Perennial Tradition

The Perennial Tradition, or Wisdom Tradition, is explored in depth in this inaugural issue of the Rohr Institute’s spiritual, literary journal, "Oneing." The Perennial Tradition is found as a recurring theme in all of the world’s religions and philosophies, pointing to Divine Reality underneath and inherent in all things and the human soul’s capacity and longing for union with this Divine Reality. Contributors include Richard Rohr, David Benner, Cynthia Bourgeault, Diana Butler Bass, John Esposito, James Finley, Robert Sardello, and others.

"Oneing," the title of the journal, is a word that was used by the Christian mystic, Lady Julian of Norwich (1342-1416), to describe the encounter between God and the soul. The Rohr Institute publishes "Oneing" with Jesus’ words at heart: “that all may be one” (John 17:21).
