The Norton synthetic steel wool pad works with or without chemicals in a variety of cleaning and finishing applications. The pad is made from polyester fiber that won't rust, shed, or splinter. It can be cut or folded to customize size for each application. After use, the pad's surface rinses free of dust and chips and is ready for reuse.

Recommended Grit Sizes 000 grit (extra fine) For light cleaning applications, finishing, defuzzing wood, denibbing plastic, and preparing surfaces for blending 0 grit (fine) For removing surface marks, rust, corrosion, and oxidation 1 grit (medium) For cleaning and light deburring

Nonwoven abrasives have individual abrasive grains that are resin-bonded and interspersed throughout an open web of polyester fibers. Open web construction produces a cushioned, three-dimensional material that is pliable, long-lasting, and will not rust. The uniform dispersion of abrasive throughout the web provides a supply of new grain as the old grain and fibers wear away during use. The polyester fiber is waterproof and washable.
