• Makko is an excellent choice for making incense cones, sticks, coils and trails. This is the same Makko powder we use to make our incense cones and it has proven to be consistently high quality.
• Makko binds powdered woods, herbs and resins together and promotes smooth and consistent combustion. It imparts little to no discernable scent besides a mild and pleasant woody aroma. It has the unique ability to enhance the aroma of other ingredients too.
• This Makko powder is sourced from Japan where the Machilus thunbergii trees are sustainably grown and managed. Only small parts of the bark are collected in strips (without killing the trees) and the trees are allowed to rest for years between harvests.
• Makko has been used for centuries as a key incense making ingredient. It stands apart from other binders with its threefold properties: Binding, combustion assistance and aroma enhancement.
