Most people prefer the aroma of Roman chamomile over German chamomile. Roman chamomile essential oil is easily distinguished from German chamomile from the color of the essential oil. German chamomile is a deep azure blue, while Roman chamomile has no blue whatsoever and is light yellow to rich yellow. There are some websites that claim Roman chamomile is light blue or blue, but they are incorrect.
