NEPHI WAS MY FRIEND (LEHI'S DREAM Book 1)
In 600 B.C., Jerusalem . . . The metal smith named Lehi has no idea how his life will change when in answer to his prayer of faith a fire descends from to sky to perch on a rock before him, and from this fire the voice of the Lord calls Lehi to go to the people of Judah, calling them to repentance and asking them to follow King Nebuchadnezzar, of Babylon, to ensure their safety and continued existence.
Lehi, with his family, is shortly forced to flee Jerusalem, when his pleas fall not only on unwilling ears, but when they anger the citizens of Jerusalem to the point of murder. Lehi, with his faithful son Nephi and the rest of the clan, flees south toward Midian and the Red Sea, thus embarking on an adventure that will eventually lead them to a new land.
However, their fortunes are still tied to the city of Jerusalem....
In vision, Lehi is commanded to send his four sons back into Jerusalem to retrieve a sacred record that is expected to be destroyed along with the city. But with the wicked Captain Laban in possession of this record, this is not going to be an easy task . . .
Between two rebellious brothers, a city full of people who despise him, and an unforgiving desert, can young Nephi conquer all and see his father's quest through to the end?
