Following in the footsteps of THE CHRISTMAS STORIES OF GEORGE MACDONALD (David C. Cook, 1981), long out-of-print and quite expensive as a used book, MY LITTLE KING aims to compile an affordable collection of Macdonald’s Christmas stories and other writings. All but one of the Christmas stories from the 1981 volume have been included here. Also included are one additional Christmas story, “The Shadows,” as well as Macdonald’s delightful essay on Robert Browning’s poem “Christmas Eve.”
