The Millipore SLGS033SS Millex-GS Filter Unit is a single-use, sterile filter unit with a 0.22 micron, hydrophilic, mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane that is used with a syringe (sold separately) to process 100mL volumes in laboratory filtration applications. The filter unit has a female Luer-Lok inlet fitting and a male Luer slip outlet fitting for attaching to compatible syringes. The membrane provides reliable, general-purpose filtration of water or other aqueous solutions, and has bi-directional support for filtering forward from a syringe into a container, or backward from a container into a syringe. The filter unit is ethylene oxide sterilized, and its housing is made of modified acrylic for compatibility with most aqueous solutions. These filter units are used in laboratories for sterile filtration and clarification of protein solutions, tissue culture media, additives, buffers, and water.
