Meinl Percussion Artisan Edition Aluminum Doumbek Egyptian Goblet Drum — Made in Egypt — Synthetic Head, 2-Year Warranty (AEED4)

• PORTABLE WITH SERIOUS SOUND: the Meinl Doumbek (sometimes called Middle-Eastern goblet drum) is easy to carry around and play while delivering a wide tonal range; get crisp "Tek" strokes and deep, resonant "Doum" strokes that cut through easily
• WHY IT MATTERS: it's perfect for bringing to drum circles, gigs, or classrooms if you don't want to carry heavier, bulkier drums; the variety of tones it produces can support a live acoustic band and are fun to explore playing on your own
• DRIVING THE SOUND: made with a cast aluminum shell and weather-resistant synthetic head for consistent sharp tone; this combination of materials has a snappy response, even at a lower volume
• ZOOM IN: the exterior mosaic is made with Mother Of Pearl inlay; there will be slight variations in the hand made design, making each drum one-of-a-kind
• OF NOTE: comes with a tuning key to make quick pitch adjustments; you can also unscrew the tension rods completely to change heads in moments
• BY THE NUMBERS: measures 9" W x 18 3/4” H
• THE BOTTOM LINE: this is a solid, dependable, lightweight drum with roots in Middle-Eastern dance music and applications for just about anything from drum circles to acoustic shows to contemporary pop music
• THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality
