- SFF-8088 is a 26-pin ‘Mini SAS‘ connector, and utilizes a metal outer shell compatible with shielded external connections. Typical application would be a SAS link between a SAS HBA to a SAS drive subsystem.
- Compliant with 3Gb/s SAS and 6Gb/s SAS protocols.

The external Mini SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) SFF-8088 cable is the most common type of external multi-lane connector for connecting RAID controller cards to external hard drive storage. This interface with SAS 3.0 Standard IC program control is fully compliant to the latest SAS 2.1 AND SAS 3.0 interface specifications, and supports up to 6Gbps data rates per channel.
