YUNAN: Yellow Jade from the Yunan Province in China. Yunan borders the country of Myanmar and is a traditional source of Jadeite (one of only 2 scientifically recognized real jades). Due to the bountiful mineral deposits in the area there are many grades or purities of Jade in the area. As a general rule even colors and translucency are considered more valuable / rare, and probably more pure.
