• [.020" STYRENE — 12 SHEETS, 8x10 INCH] .020" (0.5mm) is the thinnest gauge we stock and the one that bends. Wraps curved surfaces, skins existing shapes, and cuts with scissors when you don't need a straight edge. The gauge to reach for when you are adding a surface rather than building one — plating, siding, shims and packing pieces.
• [WHAT MODELERS BUILD WITH IT] Model railroading, architectural models, military and naval models, wargame terrain, dioramas and display bases. Sheet styrene is the scratch-builder's default material: walls, roofs, decking, hull plating, signage, shims and jigs all start as a flat sheet. Also the standard stock for kitbashing, where a plain sheet fills the gap two kits leave behind.
• [SCORE AND SNAP, DON'T CUT THROUGH] Draw a fresh blade along a steel rule two or three times to cut a groove, then flex the sheet and it breaks clean along the line. Trying to cut all the way through wanders and tears. Thin gauges take scissors for rough shapes. The same technique scribes planking, siding and panel lines straight into the surface.
• [WELDS WITH SOLVENT CEMENT, TAKES ANY PAINT] Polystyrene solvent cement softens both faces and fuses them into one piece, which is stronger than any glue joint — capillary cements wick straight into a seam. Superglue and epoxy work too. The matte white surface takes acrylics, enamels and rattle-can primer directly, with no sanding or sealing first.
