• CHECK TWO THINGS FIRST: (1) a 6mm hex (Allen) key fits the bolt socket, (2) head about 13mm / 1/2 inch wide. That is a standard M8 socket head cap bolt, the usual size on bar clamps and risers. 5mm key = KiWAV 6mm cap.
• NOT FOR: 1/4 inch (SAE) socket bolts found on many American-made cruisers, or button head, flange, 12-point, Torx and hex wrench heads. 1/4 in is 6.35mm and the cap sits loose in it. Test the bolt with a 6mm key first.
• HOW IT HOLDS: push-on fit, the pronged plug grips inside the socket. Holds by itself on vertical bolts (bar clamps, risers, triple tree). On horizontal bolts, worn sockets or high-vibration spots add a dab of silicone.
• WHAT RIDERS USE IT FOR: bar clamp and riser bolts, replacing cracked factory caps on older bikes, keeping water and rust out of the hex hole. Pops off with a small flat screwdriver for service and re-installs many times.
• PACKAGE AND MATERIAL: 12 chrome caps, 15 g. Plastic with chrome finish, not metal; keep away from exhaust and engine heat. No hex key included. Also in black, and in KiWAV 6mm and 10mm bolt sizes. Made in Taiwan.
