Kay Bojesen Monkey Mini | Oiled Teak and Limba | 3.75 in

Kay Bojesen Monkey Mini | Oiled Teak and Limba | 3.75 in

• Smiling Lines Since 1951: Two woods, four poseable limbs, and a face that has been grinning at people since Bojesen accidentally carved it while trying to make a coat hook for his children. The smiling lines he cut into that first piece of teak are still here, unchanged, because there was nothing left to improve.
• Neither Wood Gets Hidden: The Mini is made from FSC-certified plantation teak for the body and limba for the face, belly, and feet, both oiled rather than lacquered so the grain reads clearly through the surface. Plantation teak develops its own dark streaks that soften gradually with light and air, making no two monkeys identical.
• Mini Has Simple Needs: Standing 3.75 in tall and 4 in wide, the Mini fits where his larger siblings do not: a desk corner, a kitchen shelf, or tucked between books. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and keep from direct sunlight, which the teak prefers to take on its own schedule.
• Wish Lists Welcome Him: The Monkey has been appearing on gift tables across several generations, which means the person you are buying for has probably wanted one longer than they have admitted. He arrives in a branded Kay Bojesen gift box, and with four sizes available, there is always a right version for the right shelf.
• Joins A Known Troupe: The Mini sits at the bottom of the Kay Bojesen Monkey family, which also comes in Small, Medium, and Large. Collectors often start with one size and find the others tend to follow, which is either a testament to good design or a reliable pattern in monkey ownership.
