Kay Bojesen Lovebirds Pair | Oak and Smoked Oak | 3.5 in.

Kay Bojesen Lovebirds Pair | Oak and Smoked Oak | 3.5 in.

• Beak To Beak: Two round-bodied birds angled toward each other, one a shade lighter, one a shade darker, close enough that the gap between their beaks is the whole point. Kay Bojesen designed with a twinkle in his eye and a child's sense of what a story needs, and this one needed two.
• Two Tones Together: The pair is made from two woods: untreated oak, lighter and open in its grain, and untreated smoked oak, which runs warmer and darker. Both are FSC-certified and left untreated, so the grain reads clearly and the two tones do all the decorating.
• Desk Or Windowsill: The birds stand 3.5 inches tall across a width of 3.7 inches and a depth of 2 inches, right for a desk, a windowsill, or a bedside table that needed a second opinion. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and keep them from direct sunlight, a preference they appear to hold jointly.
• Made For Milestones: Few gifts communicate as directly as a pair of lovebirds, and these arrive for weddings, anniversaries, and housewarmings already knowing they will stay. They come in a Kay Bojesen branded gift box, which saves the wrapping and makes the point before anyone says a word.
• The Birds Collection: The lovebirds are part of the Kay Bojesen Birds series, a collection of songbirds drawn from his original 1950s designs, each one named and given its own story. The series has grown into a wide family since those first birds, which means this pair has plenty of company.
