• Replacement Sacrificial Anode: Zinc anode should be examined periodically and replaced if it shows significant deterioration. It Protects unit from corrosion and electrolysis when in good condition.
• Maximum Kasco Efficiency: Check propeller for wear or damage and replace if necessary. This Replacement zinc anode is best for 1/2 HP-1 HP fountain, surface aerator, circulator, and de-icers.
• Easy Installation: First Remove old anode after removing propeller by turning counter-clockwise. Now place both halves of new anode around propeller shaft with large end of anode down. Space bottom of new anode at least the thickness of a nickel above Kasco motor top and firmly secure both mounting screws with a 9/64” Allen wrench.
• Kasco’s replacement sacrificial anode will fit any Kasco unit with a 1/2 inch shaft. Sacrificial anodes are used to help prevent your equipment from corrosion and electrolysis
• Kasco Recommendation: Kasco recommends replacement of zinc anodes every year or sooner if anode is more than 50% depleted or if white in color. The anode should be checked at least every two to three months.
