Product Description

Kala WNDR-FS Wanderer Acoustic-Electric U-Bass

AWARD-WINNING DESIGN: Named Best Non-Guitar Fretted Instrument of 2018 by Music & Sound Retailer for its outstanding build quality and playability
REAL MAHOGANY TONE: Mahogany top, back, sides, and neck produce the warm, rich acoustic bass sound that players expect from a premium U-Bass
FAMILIAR BASS FEEL: Metal round wound strings deliver a playing feel and brighter attack that's closer to a traditional electric bass than standard rubber U-Bass strings
STAGE-READY ELECTRONICS: Built-in UK-500B electronics with a 9V-powered preamp let you plug directly into an amp, mixer, or PA for reliable live performance
READY TO TRAVEL: It includes a custom padded gig bag to protect your instrument during storage, rehearsals, and gigs

From Kala comes this stripped-down U bass aptly named the Wanderer for its compact size. This incredibly affordable acoustic-electric bass delivers the same booming low-end sound as other U-basses in this popular line. The Wanderer features an all-mahogany body that delivers a rich, full low tone that has become legendary for sounding very much like a full upright double bass. And since this little uke-style instrument uses traditional bass tuning, there's virtually no learning curve if you're used to a standard bass guitar. It also comes with a UK-500B Piezo pickup for stellar amplified tone and fits easily into overhead compartments on planes, trains, or the backseat of your car - a feature bassists here at GearNuts really love.
