Bartow and Sons' mission is to provide safe and naturally derived products for your home. Our salad bowl finish combines plant derived oils along with a refined coconut base to provide the ultimate wood finish that is both effective and safe for use with food.
Typical wood finishes emit volatile organic compounds during the curing process or are only considered "food safe" when fully cured. Even then, these finishes can leach when exposed to water or can chip off into food. Our finish is 100% safe before, during and after the curing process.
Directions for use:
Our finish is highly effective at protecting and sealing wood, while being easy to apply. Simply apply finish directly to the wood and let sit overnight so that the oils can penetrate into the wood. As a natural product, it will require an occasional reapplication from time to time to continue preserving the wood.
