Investigating the Investigators: The NCAA's Investigation of the University of Miami

In August 2010, Yahoo Sports revealed a bombshell - booster (and convicted ponzi schemer) Nevin Shapiro allegedly gave millions in improper benefits to the University of Miami's Athletic Department. However, the investigation that followed soon became the lead story. Working with Shapiro's defense attorney, NCAA investigators violated internal rules during their investigation into the University. This book details the internal emails and conversations that doomed the investigation, leading the NCAA to admit its own wrongdoing. It also examines Shapiro's relationship with the University of Miami, the University's response to the allegations, and a detailed epilogue of where the several players are today.
