How to be a Full-Time Tutor

Tutoring can be a great way to earn extra income, or even become a full-time job. If you work for a big-box tutoring company you might make $15-$20/hr, but if you work for yourself you can make $40-$100/hr or more, depending on what subjects you teach.



This book walks you through the process of finding students, scheduling lessons, starting a small business, and also addresses the teaching aspect: What do you do when you don't know the answer? What subjects could you teach? How do you plan and structure lessons and courses?



It also covers what hours to expect and what demand will be like throughout the year. Tutoring is largely seasonal (but there are still ways to increase your work during the summer!)
