Much of the book is devoted to treatment methods which give practical engineering examples of application of technology to hazardous waste management. There is an overview of the regulatory process and treatment of carcinogenesis. Case studies give students the necessary equations and design examples to evaluate the effectiveness of different treatment and containment technologies in addressing today's hazardous waste situation.
