Happy Valley UMF 15+ manuka honey has a characteristic golden brown color, distinctive and unmistakeable manuka flavor notes of caramel and malt, and a rich, crisp finish.
The blossoms of the New Zealand Manuka tree (Leptospermum Scoparium) produce honey that is naturally high in powerful natural compounds including methylglyoxal (MG or MGO).
UMF is the benchmark honey industry standard for measuring levels of activity of manuka honey. It is the only rating system that is recognised as being the true and accurate indicator of the purity of New Zealand manuka honey. The higher the UMF rating, the purer the manuka honey and the higher the concentration of methylglyoxal and other natural compounds specific to manuka honey.
