Hand tap comes with plug type and general-purpose style, high speed steel with finish steam oxide, number of flutes 4, size 5/16", pitch 24, UNF thread type, 4P - 4.5P plug, pitch diameter limits H3, standard projection, shank diameter 0.318". General machining taps, tolerance 3B, ANSI standards 101/102. Choose TiN coated for higher tapping speeds and areas where increased tap wear life and improved thread finish are needed. GTD taps are for use with steel and stainless steel.
